Coche

Coche island is situated 12km off the coast of the island of Margarita, Venezuela. To access take the boat (which run approximately every hour from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm) from El Yaque Paradise Hotel, Margarita to Hotel Coche Paradise on Playa Punta, Coche. Alternatively there is a local ferry to Coche from Margarita.

This small island has an amazing bay on the north west corner which has a 3km long beach with white sand, clean waters and fantastic wind conditions.

Kitesurfing in Coche is ideal as you can kite all day on the super flat waters with a consistent offshore wind, making it one of the most idyllic and tranquil places in the world to sail!

Playa Punta’s long beach also offers a track we use for teaching Kite Buggying and Mountain Boarding. Or you can travel along the coast to the salina (salt flats) which is a 2 x 4km flat area perfect for practicing your land kiting skills or going for pure speed!

After an amazing day’s kiting you can relax in our Center beside the Hotel Coche Paradise and sit back by the pool with a cocktail (or two) and watch the parrots fly by or the spectacular sunsets.
